Even if Foggy Bay wasn’t such a great staging point for the Dixon Entrance southbound crossing, it would still be a cool stop.
Given a weather system closing in, we pushed hard to get to Foggy Bay early and made it an early night so that we would be rested for our pre-dawn departure. We weaved our way in the very narrow channel and anchored up giving the only other yacht a wide berth.
Again, I was very happy to have Starlink, as I was able to watch the reports and check weather updates for the crossing south in realitime before we left. We rode 1 meter swell the entire way to Prince Rupert. And then spent several days there while the stormy weather blew through. Phew.
