Tom helped launch Marquis Charters as its first Engineer. He serves as Chief Engineer and he holds a USCG Engineer License. Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, Tom is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a degree in marine engineering. Having sailed ships for 8 years, Tom brings an experienced, steady, hands-on approach to his role as an engineer. He has held positions that include business owner, working for a mechanical engineering firm and as a licensed elevator mechanic. Calling the San Francisco Bay home for the past ten years, Tom lives aboard a 42' trawler with his wife. He is an avid sailor, 6th degree black belt in karate and lifelong athlete with a connection to the sea that makes the water not just his workplace, but his home.
