Chris is Marquis Charter's lead diver. After finishing his service in the US Army he went through a Commercial Diving Academy and moved to the SF Bay Area more than 20 years ago to get into underwarter maintenance. He started his own company cleaning and maintaining the bottoms of boats. He keeps Ciamar free of electrolysis and helps prolong the life of our bottom coatings. He can be found every two months swimming under the yacht cleaning and inspecting the shafts, propellers, struts, tabs, through hulls and all metals under the water line. He also checks the condition of the bottom paint for areas of paint that are missing as well as looks for blisters. Once the cleaning and inspection is completed he makes sure out zincs are up to the task, replacing any that have worn down to their 50% mark. He also maintains and repairs the line cutters on our shafts that prevent line from wrapping around and jamming our props. Every visit gets an after action report with a summary from the water line down, including pictures.
